Carola believes in the power of make up. She believes that make up is about enhancing the beauty in everyone by skillfully applying the perfect combination of products and colors to accentuate each person’s unique features and skin tone.
She began her career as a model in her native Puerto Rico and quickly learned the significant role make up application plays in the end result of an image. Great make up enhances confidence. So Carola began doing her own make up for small shoots. As she put her artistic eye into action, she found she had a natural talent and fascination for it, which photographers’ immediately recognized. Before long, Carola was one of the most sought-after Latina artists in Miami and her work could be seen in dozens of fashion magazines, including Cosmopolitan, Vogue Espanol, and Ocean Drive. Her celebrity roster grew and she made a name for herself doing make up and grooming for recording artists, including Paulina Rubio, Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel and Alejandro Sanz.
By 2003, Carola moved to Los Angeles to further her make up career. Her talent and charisma propelled her to work with Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington, Zoe Saldana, Rosario Dawson, and Olivia Wilde along with Gerard Butler, David Duchovny, Woody Harrelson, Pierce Brosnan, and George Clooney. Her work has appeared in top magazines including W, GQ, The New York Times Magazine, Interview, Vogue and Esquire. She has also served as the key Make Up Artist on beauty campaigns for L’Oreal, American Crew, Neutrogena, and Givenchy in addition to TV commercials and print ads for Verizon, Fanta, Heineken, Carl’s Jr., and T-Mobile. As Carola’s career climbs, she continues to give back. She donates her time and talent to the charity: “The Art of Elysium”, teaching make up application to burned victims. She continues to challenge herself and seek new opportunities to strengthen her talent, and ultimately bring out the best in every face she touches with an almost imperceptible, yet striking transformation.
